You’ll need to fly to Athens and get a connecting flight from Athens to Chania, Sitia or Heraklion airport. The wild flowers are amazing on Crete in March with many blossoming at this time of year. Over 2,000 different kinds of flora are found on Crete of which 150 or so plants and wild herbs are endemic, which means that they do not exist in any other place in the world. Wild Cretan flowers, among them rare orchids grow abundantly in March in Crete.
